When Ed Correia founded Sagacent Technologies in the year 2000, he envisioned a company dedicated to providing small and medium businesses (SMBs) with a best-in-class IT partnership. Ed’s journey began in response to a pressing need he recognized in the marketplace: too many small and mid-sized companies believed they were protected by their IT partners, only to discover the harsh reality—that they were highly vulnerable to network failures and cyber breaches. These organizations learned the hard way about the dire consequences of ineffective IT management, experiencing significant disruptions, financial losses, and damage to their reputation.

Ed recalls, “When Sagacent came into existence, many IT partners were overpromising and underdelivering. They weren’t built with the right mix of staff and technology to deliver the great service small businesses needed to be safe and secure. Instead of receiving the reassurance of comprehensive protection, they were left exposed. I saw this as a critically needed service for SMBs and a great business opportunity for Sagacent.”

Under Ed’s leadership, Sagacent Technologies has evolved into a premier provider of comprehensive IT solutions, offering services that range from fully Managed IT to Co-Managed IT, data security, and business continuity strategies. Ed is passionate about guiding businesses of all sizes through transformative challenges, leveraging his extensive expertise to help clients not just adapt but thrive amid change. Dave Frieberg

Service Operations Manager

As Service Operations Manager, Dave Frieberg is responsible for overseeing the service aspect of Sagacent’s operations, ensuring that his team is equipped with the necessary resources and tools to deliver exceptional value to clients. Joining the leadership team in 2021, Dave is an accomplished Information Technology (IT) professional with over 20 years of experience across various corporate environments. He began his career as a customer service representative, where he realized the importance of delivering exceptional customer service. Progressing from help desk support to roles in systems and network administration, procurement, cybersecurity, and project management, Dave has built a diverse skill set that makes him an asset in any IT setting.

Throughout his career, Dave has gained invaluable experience working in multiple sectors, including a major banking institution, HIPAA-governed medical technology, and the professional sports industry as a Senior Manager of IT with the Oakland Athletics. His
