When Ed Correia started Sagacent Technologies in 2000, a founding principle was to offer small to medium businesses (SMBs) a best-in-class IT partnership. At the time, Ed was reacting to too many cases where small and mid-market companies thought they were working with an IT partner who was protecting their infrastructure, but then found out the hard way that wasn’t the case. Despite being told that all needed protections were in place, they were still getting hacked, losing millions of dollars, and experiencing serious business disruptions.

As Ed explains, “When Sagacent came into existence, many IT partners were overpromising and under delivering. I saw this as a critically needed service for SMBs and a great business opportunity for Sagacent.”
